Standing Up For Sarah Palin

The new sport in Washington these days is not watching the President Elect, no. The new sport is how to destroy Sarah Palin while keeping the Republican Party on life support.

This unedifying display is the worst case of political cannibalism I have seen in decades. Hannibal Lector himself would fair better than Governor Sarah Palin at the moment.

Why are members of John McCains campaign 'team' now bent on destroying this remarkable woman? Why are many Republicans silent including John McCain himself?

Because they fear her.

Sarah Palin is a polarizing force who promises to bring change to Washington. The problem is noone wants this change including the GOP. They also have vested interests and they know that Governor Palin is made of stern stuff who will not follow in their wake but lead them to a new landscape.

A landscape where they will no longer be serving themselves but serving their country. Where vested interests will be bypassed for the best interests of the majority of American citizens.

Sarah Palin promises change but both Republican Party & the Democrats want to stay the same.

This woman galvanized a people who were longing for change and for straight talk. With Sarah Palin one didn't need to read past the 'spin' this is a woman of remarkable character who says it how it is and the majority of Americans loved it.

Sarah Palin is as polarizing as Barack Obama but unlike the President Elect, Governor Palin has substance and credibility. Sarah also has charisma and an ability to reach out and connect with ordinary Americans.

This is why many fat cat politicians fear her, including her own Party.

President Elect Obama is all talk when it comes to 'change' but with Governor Palin she meant real change and not the small change which President Obama will bring.

In the words of Machiavelli:

"A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example."

Sarah Palin is a power to be reckoned with, and her enemies know this, hence their need to destroy her, she represents to them everything they lack and is a reminder of their own inner corruption.

But a warning for those who voted for Barack Obama...

If Sarah Palin is ever elected President then Washington will never be the same again, and that will be a good thing.

A PRAYER FOR AMERICAN ELECTION

O God, we acknowledge You today as Lord,

Not only of individuals, but of nations and governments.

We thank You for the privilege

Of being able to organize ourselves politically

And of knowing that political loyalty

Does not have to mean disloyalty to You.

We thank You for Your law,

Which our Founding Fathers acknowledged

And recognized as higher than any human law.

We thank You for the opportunity that this election year puts before us,

To exercise our solemn duty not only to vote,

But to influence countless others to vote,

And to vote correctly.

Lord, we pray that Your people may be awakened.

Let them realize that while politics is not their salvation,

Their response to You requires that they be politically active.

Awaken Your people to know that they are not called to be a sect fleeing the world

But rather a community of faith renewing the world.

Awaken them that the same hands lifted up to You in prayer

Are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth;

That the same eyes that read Your Word

Are the eyes that read the names on the ballot,

And that they do not cease to be Christians

When they enter the voting booth.

Awaken Your people to a commitment to justice,

To the sanctity of marriage and the family,

To the dignity of each individual human life,

And to the truth that human rights begin when Human Lives Begin,

And not one moment later.

Lord, we rejoice today

That we are citizens of Your kingdom.

May that make us all the more committed

To being faithful citizens on earth.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Russia The Next Super Power?

I was glad to see Russia finally being mentioned by both Presidential candidates. I wrote this piece a few days ago, I don't think that the American public realise the threat that Russia poses to their own security. Let me know what YOU think?

The world cannot afford to look the other way as it concentrates on terrorists from mainly Muslim countries. There is another great threat which will also impact on American interests just as much as the Islamofacists.

Russia is proving to be a grave threat to America and the West.

There is a reason why Russia took such an interest in a little known part of the world called South Ossetia and why it hit back ferociously when The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili made the miscalculation of attacking it.

While America tries to play catch up with it's Nabucco gas pipeline, Russia is two or more steps ahead.

Russia already owns a gas pipeline which supplies a quarter of European gas supplies. What happens if a European country disagrees with Russian policies? Or will it be a case of not daring to anger the Russian bear in case their gas supplies are effected?

Many European countries will be held to ransom if they have the temerity to oppose Russia aka Prime Minister Putin.

How does this affect America?

No European country will support America & its policies if it means alienating Russia.

America may find itself totally isolated.

Prime Minister Putin is a relatively young politician who has years ahead of him and he has shown by stealth how he deals with his 'perceived' enemies. Anyone who dares to confront that savile row dictator Vladimir Putin will pay for it with their lives. One has only to look at the lives of Anna Politkovskaya, Paul Klebnikov, Alexander Litvinenko or Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko who was poisoned with Dioxin, and only just survived.

Russia has always longed to be the Great Super Power and with its gas pipeline they may realise their dream. As America wakes up to a new nightmare, becoming second place to Russia.

Obama-McCain-On Defense

It would be nice if we lived in a fuzzy wuzzy-cuddly wuddly world where we can get rid of nuclear weapons, then sit around a camp fire as world leaders sing Kumbaya my Lord while linking hands and making daisy chains.

It may be a nice vision but it isn't reality.

Yet this is exactly Senator Obama's 'reality' as he said, "Third I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal I will not develop new nuclear weapons. I will seek a global ban on the production of fissal material and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBM's off hair trigger alert and achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenal."

Well Russia is not sitting on their hands either as they build their pipeline which supplies a quarter of the worlds gas reserves. Now why the EU wants to become so dependent on Russia's benelovence is beyond me when it comes to their gas supplies? This move makes the Savile Row dictator Putin ever more powerful.

Has Russian history been kind to the world?

When challenged by Bill O'Reilly in his TV interview Obama deviated away from committing himself to keeping missiles in Poland by saying that he would keep it but only if it is workable. Guess who will find it unworkable if he ever makes it to the Presidency? As he said above he wants to disarm the American military machine.

How much idiotology from Obama can America take?

The difference between Senators McCain and Obama is this; one went to war while the other is good at dialogue.

This is an extract from McCain's site, "America confronts a range of serious security challenges: Protecting our homeland in an age of global terrorism and Islamist extremism; working with friends and partners overseas, from Africa to Southeast Asia, to help them combat terrorism and violent insurgencies in their own countries; defending against missile and nuclear attack; maintaining the credibility of our defense commitments to our allies; and waging difficult counterinsurgency campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq."

Does the West need to be tough with those who would threaten our freedoms such as the stance McCain is taking? Or should Americans go on a cross your fingers and hope for the best diplomacy offered by Obama?

Let's face it Senator Obama attended his Church for over 20 years and didn't know what Reverend Wright was saying, did he spend the entire time sleeping? He also did not know about Bill Ayers who is sorry that he did not inflict more harm on his own country. If Barack Obama is so clueless within his own community & circle of 'friends' how on earth can he deal with Prime Minister Putin, President Ahmadinejad, President Assad, Chairman Kim Jong-il ? Let alone terrorists organisations such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

Senator McCain has been tested in war, he knows how much destruction it causes but he also has learnt from history on how not to be defeatist when confronting enemies.

The world is facing a terrible crisis as it confronts Islamofascists. In order to defeat evil one has to confront it and you cannot do that with a wet noodle.

If Obama has his way, and disarms America then you better get those noodles ready.

Who do you trust with not only the security of America but Western Freedoms which we take for granted?

A PRAYER FOR AMERICA

Father, once again we are reminded that any security we have as individuals and as a nation comes only from the abiding hope and trust we have in You.

Father, we seek Your peace for our nation and our world. In the midst of our questions and uncertainty, we recognize that the unknown details of this day are already in Your grasp. We know You sent Your Son as the Prince of Peace and even this day falls under His command. Help us to find the strength and comfort we need as a nation to continue to humble ourselves, pray and seek Your face for a new day in America and a new hope for our world.

We seek Your peace for the emergency workers, that You would guard their lives as they seek to guard the lives of others. Give them the wisdom they need to perform their duties above and beyond the levels of their training.

Amen.

Almighty God,

bless the American nation

and make it true

to the ideas of freedom and justice

and brotherhood for all who make it great.

Guard them & all of mankind from war,

from fire and wind,

from compromise, fear, confusion.

Be close to their president and their statesmen;

give them vision and courage,

as they ponder decisions affecting peace

and the future of the world.

Make them more deeply aware of their heritage;

realizing not only their rights

but also their duties

and responsibilities as a citizen.

Make that great land

and all its people

know clearly Your will,

that they may fulfill

the destiny ordained for them and us in the salvation of the nations,

and the restoring of all things in Christ.
