Peace Prayer to the Mother

The greatest gift of The Mother is Her Love.

It is incumbent upon us, Her children,

to act towards each other as valued members of the same family.

Mother hear our desires, teach us your wisdom.

Let there be peace of understanding;

Peace of a calming of angers;

peace of wisdom,

Peace of a willingness not to seek vengeance.

Let there be peace because we owe it to the children,

Peace because we owe it to the parents,

Peace because we owe it to our ancestors.

Let there be peace so that there may be art,

Peace so there may be farming.

Peace so there may be dancing,

Peace so that utterly different peoples may compare their ways with interest.

Let there be peace among humans

Peace between humans and all living creatures,

Peace between humans and the land.

Let there be peace so that our ingenuity may undo our damage,

Peace so that we may solve riddles.

Peace so that we may reach the stars,

Peace so we may reach our own souls.

Let there be lasting peace;

Peace among men and women.

Peace among adults and children.

Let there be true peace.

Amen!

Real Peace

To live a peaceful life in this world of turmoil and strife, we need to understand that our enemy is not any one person. The enemy is within our own soul, and at times the Principality of evil will use people to drive a wedge of discontent amongst Gods beloved children. This is why it is essential to keep a strong prayer life and to make use of the Sacraments of the Church as often as possible.

A person that is centred on Christ is not easily moved by the emotionalism of others or by those who prefer to embrace hate rather than love. As that great Doctor of the Church, St. Francis de Sales said, "Do not lose your inward peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset." This is a learning process in that we at times all lose our temper and can become agitated over the actions of others, but this is not an excuse to remain in that condition.

In order to keep our peace we need to recognise that this peace is from Christ and cannot be found anywhere else. It is Gods Gift to those who have put aside their 'old selves' and embraced the 'new self' as they walk with Christ in the Light of His Word and the Teachings of His Church.

Our obligation as God fearing Christians is to speak God's Truth with gentleness and then to stand firm if any find this Truth to be loathsome. It is not up to us to engage in bickering but instead to speak it and then to quietly pray for those who find this Teaching too hard to accept.

To remain quiet in the midst of sin as if it were not happening is not 'peace', that is false peace which leads to false charity when we condone evil as a right. It is never right to do wrong, as if the end justifies the means, we must at all times speak The Truth even to our own peril as Winston Churchill once said, "Truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it and ignorance may deride it, but, in the end, there it is."

When a persons trust has been destroyed by another it takes time for the Divine Physician to heal a soul wound. Real peace lay not in the power of humans but is in the Hands of the Divine from whom we seek our own inner healing from wounds inflicted upon us.

Real peace does not mean an absence of anger, true and sincere peace of heart is maintaining a quiet peaceful heart amidst the raging turmoil of anger, hate and strife. It is the ability not to be swayed this way or that way or allowing others to provoke us or to allow others to manipulate us. This does not mean we must sit quietly and watch wrongs being said or done against another, but it is to speak the truth gently and firmly as it is and to then move on irrespective of how others accept the truth spoken.

We must at all times remember that we are in the company of our Lord and what cannot be spoken in His Presense should not be whispered in dark corners, as St. Teresa of Avila said, "however quietly we speak, God is so near he will hear us."

PEACE

The world cannot give the peace that Christ speaks of, and no amount of worldly accruements can give us this peace which we all seek in the inner most recesses of our heart.

Noone has the power to force others to love one another. Love is not overbearing nor does it try and control that which is beyond its capacities, for a person cannot enforce its own will upon another.

How do we attain this peace in a hectic and violent world? It can only be gained through a spirit of detachment, in that we focus all our attention on what is pleasing to God, rather than what is pleasing to us. Detachment does not mean spiritual coldness nor the clinical asceticism so favoured by a few who misunderstand the fiery torrent of God's Divine Love. A soul that has detached itself from all worldly needs is a soul that is truly free to love as we were designed too, not in a spirit of self seeking but to serve others

We learn through the actions of Jesus that in order to gain His Peace we need to detach from a longing to please man and learn to please God. It is when we detach ourselves from emotionalism that we gain true peace of heart which is not held hostage to the tyranny of memory, nor at the mercy of emotions which remain entrapped in negativism or a need for worldly approval.

The Word of God teaches us that though we may speak the Truth if it is delivered from a spirit of harshness then no matter the truth it will be rejected by a person that has already suffered much. It is also a timely reminder that we in and of ourselves cannot create our own peace nor share this 'false peace' with others.

The soul that has gained this great treasure, the Peace of Christ can only dwell and live its meaning in the soul that loves for Loves sake.

Peace In The Heart

"If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.

If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart."

So, may we all Humans do the first step first.
May there be peace in our hearts.
And then, let us hope, pray,
and work together for peace in our world.

War & Peace-A Contradiction?

It may seem contradictory to pray for peace when many of our own soldiers are fighting far away from home in foreign fields.

Many people think that if only we got rid of all our weaponry then the world would have peace. The problem with this thinking is that it is not 'weapons' that are the real evil, it is sin.

If the world decided tomorrow to destroy every weapon ever invented without first changing themselves from within, then we would have achieved absolutely nothing.

How did Cain kill Abel? What killed Abel? Sin.

While praying for peace, we must not attack our sons and daughters in the military who are fighting for the freedoms we hold dear. These brave young men and women also need our prayers.

If we really want change then let us go back to the basics and pray that God's Love will still the savage beast which lurks within us all.

A PRAYER FOR WORLD PEACE

Lord, we pray for the power to be gentle;

the strength to be forgiving;

the patience to be understanding;

and the endurance to accept the consequences

of holding to what we believe to be right.

May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil

and the power of love to overcome hatred.

We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe

in a world emancipated from violence,

a new world where fear shall no longer lead men to commit injustice,

nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others.

Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy

to the task of making peace,

praying always for the inspiration and the power

to fulfill the destiny for which we and all men were created.

WHAT KIND OF DAY SHALL I HAVE?

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the day ends. I have responsibilities
to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or ...
I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or ...
I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or ...
I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or ...
I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or ...
I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or ...
I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or ...
I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or ...
I can eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or ...
I can feel honored because Life has provided shelter for my mind, body, and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.
And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.

Have a GREAT DAY ... unless you have other plans

LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to.....LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains....LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth....LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you.....LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge....LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or
addiction.....LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents.....LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude......LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better.....LET IT GO !!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him...... LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship....LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves.....LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling stressed......LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it", then you need to......LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing!
LET IT GO!!!

A LETTER TO THE WEARY

Dear Child,

I heard you cry last night. I was there in the darkness when the tears slipped down your face and your heart broke within you. Did you think I didn’t see and didn’t care? Do you really think I don’t know how tired and weary you really are?

Child, I’ve been with you when life has dealt its bitterest blows. I’ve watched you handle all the sorrow and all the pain. But you are weary now, and I can see the broken spirit and the faded hopes and dreams.

Please don’t forget that I care. My touch and caress can restore and mend your broken heart and kindle the flame of hope once more within you. Let Me love you. Take down the barricades around your heart and lean on Me.

I am not tired and I am not weary and I have the strength enough to carry you if you will let Me.

You are not alone, and you never have been, for I am your friend and I will never, ever leave your side. Trust Me!

Your Friend,

Jesus

Saint Quote-Saint Francis de Sales

"Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, not even if your whole world seems upset. If you find that you have wandered away from the shelter of God, lead your heart back to Him quietly and simply."

Inspirational Thought

This is the way of peace: Overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth, and hatred with love."
