Passing By

There is a lady sweet and kind

Was never face so pleased my mind,

I did but see her passing by

And yet I love her till I die!

Her gestures, motions and her smile

Her wit, her voice, my heart beguile;

Beguile my heart, I know not why

And yet I love her till I die!

Cupid is winged, and doth range

Her country; so my heart doth change.

But change the earth, or change the sky

Yet will I love her till I die!

Blog Bouqets to Episcopollyanna & Marilena/Shirley

This weeks blog bouquets go to Episcopollyanna & Divine Mercy.

There are some blogs which truly touch one's heart and stays with you long after. Lisa at Episcopollyanna is such a blog.

Lisa's blog is like a balm to the soul, this gentle lady reminds us to be thankful to God not for what He gives us but for who He is, Love itself. In this fevered world we see through Lisa's reflections that God does not want or need our busyness. God wants your heart.

This lovely lady's courage shines forth as she struggles with her health but never falls into despair. Her blog is an uplifting insight that God is with us through all our difficulties.

I hope you will all visit Lisa's lovely blog.

*********************

Marilena & Shirley through their blog endeavour to spread the Divine Mercy devotion to their readers. It is a message that the world truly needs to hear.

In these hedonistic days our senses are constantly assaulted with worldly cynicism & negativity. Our world needs light. It needs to know that here is hope for everyone.

We see this message of hope through the hard work of both Marilena and Shirley as they attempt to help us understand just how much God loves each soul.

These two blogs shine a light in a very dark world. I do encourage everyone to visit Episcopollyanna and Divine Mercy. These two blogs will touch your soul for the better as they have mine. Do visit them.

Peace & JOY to all three ladies.

The Glory of Creation

There's a glory of the sun and moon,
And of every twinkling star,
Declaring the wondrous love of God
From His mighty throne afar.
Each beam brightly flickering forth
Proclaims His glory and grace,
Reaching deep within the soul
Lighting the darkest place.
The glorious beauty of a sunrise
Engulfs the heart in rapture,
And the radiant glow of a sunset...
No artist's brush can capture.
Whenever we look toward heaven,
The magnificent sea, or land,
We stand in awe of majestic splendor
Created by God's own hand.
Each and every creature included-
Beautiful by His design,
Having a glory all their own...
No poet can define.
Praise God for The Glory of Creation-
The bodies that are terrestrial,
But most of all for the Glory of Christ,
And new creatures in Him celestial.

"There are celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one,
and the glory of the terrestrial is another."
(1 Cor.15:40)

The Lovliness of Silence

No one's ever heard a butterfly,
It cannot speak nor sing,
It just hovers quietly around,
And shows off its pretty wings.

Each tiny wing - a masterpiece,
Of intricate design,
With hues that blend and complement,
So tranquil and refined.

And no one's ever heard a firefly,
Turn on its tiny light,
Without a click, it flips its switch,
And makes no noise in the night.

And there it is, in all its glory,
Its wee light flashing off and on,
Until it disappears in silence,
Along with moths across the lawn.

And what about white fleecy clouds,
That aimlessly drift by?
They help us dream of things unseen,
Though we can't hear them in the sky.

Like soft meringue, they peak and hang,
Soundlessly above the ground,
They tantalize our seeking eyes,
We watch in awe; they make no sound.

Puffs of smoke from chimney tops,
Come skipping through the air,
Gentle breezes make them dance,
What lovely visions there.

But we can't hear a puff of smoke,
Nor can we hold it in our hands,
But we can watch it float away,
Silently across the land.

First snow of Winter on the ground,
Untouched, unmarked, pristine,
Lace-like frost on window panes,
Crystal icicles that gleam.

Impressive beauties, everyone,
That inspire men to whisper,
To not disturb the reverie,
Of such a wondrous mixture.

A white, full moon on a still, black night,
With a host of silver stars,
Free to see and wish upon,
And spend lovely, quiet hours.

In splendid stillness, lies that night,
With peaceful beauty there,
Which forces one to bended knee,
In grateful, silent prayer.

A baby's smile, a sleeping child,
A napping cat upon a lap,
Pleasurable and treasurable,
All silent joys that entrap.

True, a picture's worth a thousand words,
Though it never makes a sound,
It communicates in ways unheard,
And lasts forever and beyond.

It's the lovely, silent things we see.
That our ears will never hear,
That speak loudly to our listening hearts,
Distinct, succinct, and clear.

We're grateful that God gave us ears,
To hear His awesome sounds,
Yet the loveliness of silence,
Is wondrous, too, when it is found.

Beauty Fades.... stupid is forever....

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

I think your whole life shows in your face, and you should be proud of that.

"Beauty fades," my father would tell me, "but dumb? Dumb is forever.

So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why doesn’t somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?

People who are confident without a scrap of make-up and look healthy, happy and glowing, seem like natural beauties to me.

Beauty is revealed when we learn to see with our hearts. The more educated our hearts the greater beauty we can see. Therefore, beauty is revealed with age.

Beauty is not beauty without love.

Beauty is not in the face; Beauty is a light in the heart.

Beauty is not caused. It is.

The ideal of beauty is simplicity and tranquility.

Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.

Taking joy in life is a woman's best cosmetic.

Beauty without grace is the hook without the bait.

Beauty is the gift of God.

A person is only beautiful, when their own beauty, is reflecting on to others.

Beauty comes in all sizes — not just size 5.

For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.

It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.

People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.

Beauty is one of the rare things that do not lead to doubt of God.

Man makes holy what he believes, as he makes beautiful what he loves.

It is not sufficient to see and to know the beauty of a work. We must feel and be affected by it.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart.

I've never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.

Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty - they merely move it from their faces into their hearts.

Beauty... when you look into a woman's eyes and see what is in her heart.

Beauty is indeed a good gift of God; but that the good may not think it a great good, God dispenses it even to the wicked.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.
