A Prayer To Reach Out

Send me, O God, as your messenger, to hearts without a home, to lives without love, to the crowds without a guide. Send me to children whom none has blessed, to the lonely whom none has visited, to the fallen whom none has lifted, to the bereaved whom none has comforted. Kindle your flame on the altar of my heart that others may be warmed thereby, cause your light to shine in my soul that others may see your way, and ever keep my sympathy and insight ready, my will keen, and my hands quick to help my brothers and sisters in their need, through Jesus Christ my Lord,
